writes: I have been engaged to my partner for 5 years, and together for 6 1/2 years. We started dating when I was young (17) and I guess you could say it it my first love (same for him he is 27).We had set a date for our marriage over a year ago but recently I have been dreading the thought of getting married to him. He is always in and out of casual work so I am the only one with a steady income paying off our mortgage and loans, and I don't feel we are on the same page. Lately I have been flinching when he tries to show me affection and we haven't had sex in weeks, he doesn't turn me on anymore. I have asked to postpone our wedding indefinitely.I have told him all of my thoughts and he is obviously hurt but also a little resentful to me I think at times for being successful in my career. Will a break fix everything or have we just grown too far apart?
