Wife was mad at her father, then he died, now she is mad at me

My wife's father died 2 months ago. She didn't really get along too well with him and in fact was mad at him about something at the time, although she did take care of him toward the end. She used to like me well enough but now she seems mad all the time. My question is, does it seem likely that she has transferred her unresolved anger to me? How shall I get around or through this? Presenting it to her as a direct question seems like a scenario doomed to fail, but if she is stuck on this, subconsciously or not, we must get around it somehow.
