writes:They say men are from mars and women are from venus...how true!! ok so me and my ex have been in contact since we split up a few years ago hes been telling me over the weekend how much he still fancies me but when he arranged to meet me tonight in a packed pub he didnt turn up no text no call no nothing, i sat there like twat for half an hour....i wouldnt mind but i texted him half hour before asking him if we were still meeting up he said yeah!! why would he do this to me after telling me what a lovely person i was??? then, he had the cheek to text me an hour later to ask where i was!! i havent texted him back ive turned my phone off. i know you guys arent psychic but why would a guy say one thing then leave me waiting?

reader, anonymous, writes (30 May 2007): It sounds to me like he arrived late or at the wrong place. I would not text him back, I think he ought to know he screwed things up, wait for his call, don't act all mad, but let him know you don't appreciate having to wait on him...and perhaps in the future he needs to come pick you up for a date instead of meeting.

Don;t call him, don;t text him, leave him alone and be happy.If he texts you don;t reply. let him have the decency to call you on the phone or come and see you and apologise.If he calls or visits, dont shout or get irate, just ask him calmly and rationally why he left you there for so long- when he tells you just say "ok" and leave it. don;t give him leverage to make more of an emotional event that need be.If he cannot respect you enough to be responsible with your feelings then let him realise this and make a mends..otherwise move on.The Capt
