writes:this is an akward thing to talk about with friends etc.. so i hope you guys can help me out a little :) ive been with my boyfriend now for 18 months almost, i absolutly love him to pieces! hes amazing, hes the sort of guy who might not spend alot of money on me, but he puts a hell of a lot of thought into it! he wouldnt think twice about bringing me flowers or chocolates home :) ive recently moved into his place, he lives on his own.. he likes to rub it in (as a joke) that hes 21 and im only 17 so im not legally old enough to drink, so last week he brought me home a box of chocolates and a bottle of lemonade haha! well anywayy hes a really great guy and everything feels right in the relationship now, but last night for the first time, we had sex.. the first time for both of us, and it was pretty amazin, we had a shower together :) and we sat on the sofa in our towels.. and then... well yeah im sure you'll understand how the first time is. ive heard its pretty painfull and some girls bleed! but there was nothing, well we were at it for about an hour lol. we ended up in the bedroom and we tried different things :) i have to say it was the best experience ever, there was no pain, well yeah im not gonna write too much detail! but then this morning when we woke up, we got a little heated again.. but he couldnt get inside me! no matter what we did, it was so painfull, i almost cried and when he finally did.. i bled! it was awful, it was asif last night was a complete dream and never happened! well he went off to work in the best mood ever haha! and ive sat and cried, i feel really emotional! but all i wanna know really is.. is there a reason why the first time we had sex it was amazing and there was no trouble! and then this morning, the second time was terrifyyying! its obviously not normal? should it not be the other way round? will this happen again? thanks guys! sorry its so long x

Next time, have a romantic evening, build up gradually and indulge in lots of foreplay and kissing, let him finger you to orgasm a few times before penetration and I'm betting you will be in orbit!

reader, anonymous, writes (6 July 2009): You were probably a bit swollen down there, totally normal. Each sexual experience is different, sometimes you will have an earth shaking orgasm and the next, nothing. This too, is normal.
Don't worry about it, it will be great again. Give yourself a few days to rest and heal the area and then make sure you have lots of foreplay the next time you do it, this allows for plenty of lubrication, which facilitates easy penetration.
