reader, anonymous, writes (14 February 2007): Life is what you make it! Don't get dragged down by the usual hype. It's another day and just go out and enjoy it. Make yourself your favourite meal for tea. Treat yourself to some music and dance around the house. Forget Valentine's - celebrate Feb 14th!!! or the Eve of Feb 15th! Ha ha. Don't let things get you down. Here's a big hug for you from me.
Take care
xx

It's a football match for me tonight, hunny! The people it's a big deal for are the card companies and interflora - pushing us to buying something not really needed to show someone you really love them - it's marketing and Partner Pester Power!Remember how Hallow'een has become a huge moneyspinner now in the UK due to heavy marketing? 10 years ago, it was about shelling a pumpkin or a turnip and sticking a candle in it - now there's supermarket aisles devoted to it.Feb 14th is normally a depressing date to look at when you get your Bank Statement!
