writes:My period was supposed to come on the 16th this month but it hasn't come until now. 6 days late.Me and my boyfriend had sex on the 17th. PROTECTIVE sex with a condom and we were very careful abt the touching as well.There are no signs of my period nor pregnancy.But I'm starting to get worried as my period hasnt been late for a year or two now. I'm not stressed or anything either. What could be the reason for this? Anything advice, tips or encouragements please? Thanks

reader, anonymous, writes (22 March 2009): It could be stress, diet, new changes your body is getting used tomay be the problem. Wait a few more days, and if your period still doesn't come, take a home pregnancy test, if it comes up positive, go to a doctor, and have them test you.

However, best thing to do is be tested for pregnancy - maybe a pee test at the right time?
if it doesnt arrive in the next few days i would do that.
then if positive go for blood test.
no method of contraception is 100% effective - except for keeping clothes on.
