hello everybody...

I am married just 2 months back.. and me and my hubby are into sex just for the past one month.. my biggest problem is.. am not regular in my menstural cycles.. very very irregular i should say.. i had my period just a week prior to my wedding. but, maybe coz of stress i started my cycle jus a week after my wedding day.. maybe this sounds very very normal.. my inlaws family seems very orthodox.. traditional.. am scared about my cycle.. and everything. i couldnt tell them that ive very irregular cycles. and the prob is, after 43 days of my period, i had spottings or donna what to call it.. it went to 7 days fully but still i don ve to change more than a napkin for a day. (IT has never been like that for me till now) as everytime i used to have abdominal cramps and pain. But, this time i donna if i have to consider it to be my period. My mom says i am weak. and so, din get my bleedings correctly.. i dont know what to think.. am mentally stressed out. i even had pregnancy test just last week. it shows negative. and no signs of pregnancy either. but before this spottings, i had very very mild abdominal cramp and all that. i know, it would take at least 2 months even for a healthy couple to become pregnant..

but, my question is, this first month.. even if am not pregnant, why are all these changes.. and pls ppl.. dont forget i ve been active with sex.. though never had any orgasm.. he had ejaculated inside me so many times.. but stil am not pregnant.. i thought, i was not ovulating that time.. as my cycles are very irregular.. pls give me some advices .. it would be very helpful.

thank you

Well, I'm not a doctor so I can't give you a definite reason, but if your cycles remain irregular and you're not getting pregnant, I'd suggest going to a doctor.

If you're wanting to get pregnant soon, it doesn't seem worth it getting on birth control pills. You might consider it for after you've had your baby if you're not interested in having another quickly after. It'll help regulate your period again.

(jus for 3 days) on may 23rd.. i got my full flow period again on june 9th (5 full days.. had abdominal pains.. changed about 4 napkins daily) and after this period.. we were having sex regulary. (atleast thrice a week) my next thing was spotting.. (7 days.. less than a napkin a day) on july 19th.. and after which i had 2 pregnancy test.. which all showed negative..

Spotting can be indicative of a pregnancy. When was your last full period? Are you late? Try counting about 28 days from your last period to see when you might expect a technically "normal" period. I'd recommend waiting a couple of weeks after that to re-take a pregnancy test; they can't predict pregnancies very well before you've even missed a real period.

As for the frequent spotting, it's quite plausible that you're just irregular. I, too, have that problem. You might consider going to an OB/GYN doctor to see if birth control pills would help your situation. I understand that your husband's parents are very orthodox and conservative, but they don't have to know that you're taking the pills. Not only will they prevent an unwanted pregnancy, but they'll also regulate your period, so you don't have to guess when you'll start menstruating. If your husband's parents don't agree with you being on a birth control method, you can let them know that you're doing it for a medical purpose - your period isn't regular, and that isn't OK with you.

Since you've had frequent periods and spotting, your iron levels are probably low, which can lead to anemia, which can get quite serious if your iron levels get too low. Try taking a dietary supplement or eating foods high in iron to keep your levels up during this time, too.
