writes:The OH and I have been going through a rough patch the last week or so , we both went out saturday night with our friends, we had a row and went our seperate ways, he made a point of chatting up a girl in front of me etc in the nightclub i just walked away, then sunday i found out he asked this girl for her number.. i havent said anything to him about it.. since saturday he has said he was being an idiot and it was all bull **** lots of drink envolved etc, but this is just starting to grate on me.. why ask her for her number? i just dont know what to think anymore.. opinions appreciated... :( Reply to this Question

 OH = Other Half.
I think he asked for the number because that's just what you do. It's a validation that you still have got game or whatever you wanna call it. It's what he did with the number that really matters. He may keep it for a back up, but really those digits will expire in about 3-5 days. The number may still be good, but his window will have closed.
I don't necessarilly think it's something to break up over, but it is definitely something that needs to be worked out.

Sounds like he was initially talking to her to tick you off, why not take it a step further and ask for her number to really take a stab at you? Or to maybe keep it in his pocket for an option if you two break up.
