Yeah, I suspected it was the same person too.

Um. All men don't.
Perhaps a certain man does and this is what is causing you some sort of problem?
Read my other answer on your other question.
Put together your list of grievances and issues with this one man and perhaps you'll get some good advice. If you aren't stuck in stereotyping all men based on the actions of one, that is.
Good luck!

I suspect that the reason you're asking about men is because you find yourself in relationships with men that are like that. If you don't like it, find a man who isn't like that.
For the sake of discussion, even if your premise "all people of a certain gender share certain bad traits" is correct, what difference would it make if you knew the answer why they are that way? You'd have the choice of either: 1) accepting that this particular bad trait as the price you pay for having a relationship with people of that gender; or 2) choosing not to have relationships with people of that gender.

Why are you apparently sleeping with a loser who would lead you to make such ridiculous unfounded gross generalizations?
What exactly is said loser with whom you are apparently sleeping apparently doing to lead you to make such ridiculous unfounded gross generalizations?

Some people need to believe they know everything because they are insecure, and, in their minds, a simple "Gee, I don't know anything about that" detracts from their greatness. But it's not men only, and it's not all men.

Maybe because they think they're expected to know everything and if they don't they believe we'll lose faith in them. We won't, but tell them that.
Otherwise I agree with the others about making generalizations and that it may be the type of man you attract (or are attracted to). If you come across as uncertain, they will assume an air of authority, but then both men and women do that.

See? Generalizations work both ways.
Okay to answer your questions specifically "Why is it that Men think they know Everything?" Because we do know everything. You see that computer you're using to type up this question? Designed, built and sold by us men. Every component and almost everything that is encoded onto it too. See that room you're sitting in right now? Yup, you guessed it we designed and built that too. The roads, schools, 99.99999999% of every structure, every invention on this planet we made, designed and sold. Space travel, the radio, the telephone, the car, the greatest works of art, scientific achievements even the God you pray to was a man who had a son who was also a man who built everything. Everything around you was designed, built and sold by us. This is our world OP and you are a guest in our world. Be happy as a woman we let you live in too and let you have your quaint little opinions, your pretty dresses and your makeup, we mostly design and make those things too.
Angry yet? hehe I'm only kidding. It's been fun though, thanks for you time.

Patriarchy teaching that men are entitled to anything and everything, as a generalization. This website probably does a better job explaining it, check their FAQs.

That sounds like a generalised statement.
Its like saying all blondes are bimbos or all people like eating the same kind of food.
Men come in all forms, shapes, colours and each one has a different mind set.
Prehaps the men you have attracted seem "to know it all" because you may have attracted that TYPE of guy, does not mean all men are the same.
This is my viewpoint anyway!

Not all men are like this, but some men just have big egos and therefore they feel that they are never wrong and they just keep up a front, even when they know they are wrong they will argue there case because the have a big ego.
