I mean when you first meet someone, everyone goes on about how you should have safe sex, but when it comes down to it guys do not want to wear them? Don't guys who get them stop unwanted pregnancies and that is the reason most girls ask them to wear them?

 Just to add, I recon many guys assume you are on the pill without asking. Who knows, but you need the peace of mind.

It never ceases to amaze me the number of guys who want a one night stand and yet don't carry condoms. Be vary careful, and be sure to have condoms of your own, as you cannot rely on guys to have their own.
As for refusing to use one, never had that, but heard it before.
If he wont' then don't have sex, simple as. Just think he is probably in the habit of this, and like the others say, you don't know what you can catch these days.
I agree you should use a condom to prevent not just prgnancy but infections.

State that you are not going to have sex with them unless they wear them. Who wants all of those germs, plus an unwanted pregnancy????????????????? You are basically then having with the people who they have had sex with. All of their germs are then passed onto you. Think about it, if he has had it with 4 people for instance, then you are then having their germs, plus any others that he may have. God you could have aids or anything. Be careful, and dont let them be in charge, or you will be dead.

Insist that your male partner uses a condom! It should not be an option!
