A few of my friends are getting divorces or breaking up, and I feel like I'm losing contact with people and I can't sleep. One friend in particular wont return my texts in the past while and won't message me back online in the past week. With everything going on around me, it drives me crazy! This person is ignoring me and I don't even know why. I understand people are busy, but a quick hi or message back isn't that time consuming! He is super sensitive though, and I'm afraid that if I ask why he's been distant, he might take it the wrong way and fire back at me.How do I ask why he won't talk to me properly so that I can understand what the problem is?

I wouldn't mention him being distant in case he takes it the wrong way but why not send him a text saying that you're worried that you've upset him and ask him if he's alright. That way you're putting the emphasis on you being a friend and thinking about his feelings rather than his silence upsetting you.
