Why is he so intrusive when we are only FWB?

i have this guy who ive known since i was 13 (im 31 now) and we've been friends w/ benefits in the past but now we're just friends. He wont tell me nothing about his own life... absolutely NOTHING but when it comes to mylife hes gotta know every lill detail!! WHY?? He also extremly protective of ANY man that comes into mylife hes always sayn Sami you deserve better and when i get hurt by a bf he'll say 'its ok the right man will come along'...hes gotta know everything about any new man that comes into mylife he wants to meet them too!! I dont understand this behavior?? Hes always sayn how 'hot' i am..how sweet loving care etc....i am..BUT he says he wont date me he only likes me as a friend.
