if the medics say it alright then believe them,i find the best result for a panic attack is to carry a paper bag with you, put the bag across your mouth only, breath in through your nose, then blow the air out into the bag and continue breathing in and out,into the bag, continue this action until your breathing slows down again,if you continue to have these attacks, then you should see you GP, he will advise you on other courses of action to take, this type of action is also used by some asthmatics, it helps to slow your breathing down and may help your panic attacks.

If the paramedics didnt see a problem with it i doubt there is one.
But ask your GP to be sure
