they do not have children. We began our affair just after they had been married one year. His wife is not an ex i am th ex...lol He has been seeing me most of his marriage and she has had a man also. I'm thinking he needs this closure t o make sure it is over really for them. He told me she stopped all contact with the man but he has not stopped with me. She said she would stop my space and she has not. he pretty well told me yesterday he don't want to mess things up but at the same time he still wants to be with me. he knows i will not take him back if he is still with her. So what is he thinking? maybe things aren't going well? i love him dearly and would wait , but at the same time move on. i waited this long whats a few more months. i guess im just looking for reasons not to give up and he gives me plenty. i jsut need affirmation maybe. ill answer any thing you ask just ask me.

I think this guy wants his cake and eat it! He wants to stay in touch, why? Do they have kids? If yes, then that is a different matter, there has to be 'some' contact, but it should only be to discuss kids stuff. I have never been in a relationship where the partner and his ex have stayed 'friends' and everything has gone ok! Sorry but it just cannot happen. They has 'past' stuff and that is where ex's should stay in the past. My experience has been a bad one when it comes to ex's, sorry but i bloody hate them, they will cause mayhem if they feel the need to. Jealousy can overcome ex's when they see what the new person is getting from their past partners etc.

You need to have a long chat with him and let him know how you feel. If you are not happy then dont be prepared to put up with cr*p just to make him happy. Let him know that you wont put up with it!

take care and keep in touch if you want.

I will tell you exactly why.

Firstly - to keep you onside so that you wont tell his wife

Secondly - to keep his foot in the door so if he feels like picking up where he left off he will have you to run back too.

Thirdly - if his marriage breaks down for other reasons then he also can come back to you

Cut him off, don't be used.
