Okay, so I met this guy a little over a week ago. The first time we talked, we did so for over 2hrs. The second time we talked, we did so for over 3hrs. The next day and the third time we talked, I suggested that meet for drinks and he exclaimed that he was about to suggest the same thing. We ended up hanging out for several hours into the early morning just talking, smiling and laughing at each other. At the end, we kissed. It was simple and sweet with a lot of electricity (at least on my part) and it appeared that we enjoyed each others company. He was pretty much the same as he was online except he seemed very shy. But, he did warn me about this. Okay, no problem.

The next evening after our first meeting, I texted him that I enjoyed his company and he replied, instantaneously, that he enjoyed my company as well. A day passes by and I try to let him be the initiator... Nothing. So, now I'm ansy and it's Saturday. I break down and call him to which he answered the phone almost immediately. He asks if he could call back cause he was in the middle of something and kept his word.... He called back. We talked for about 20min and I asked him if he wanted to go out that evening but he had plans. He explained that he was going to ask me out for the following day, but I had plans. So, I asked him if he wanted to get ice cream and just go for a walk in the park. He sounded very gung-ho about it which was exciting. He says he has some things to do like clean up and finish some work he was doing in the house. But, he still managed to pick me up within an hour.

We got the ice cream, walked along the piers and he was a complete gentleman like the first meeting. And like the first time, time flew by so quickly... We were like awkward teenagers around each other. We kissed at the end of the date and he even took my hands into his. He drove me him eventually after like 2 1/2hrs. We texted each other the next day and like usual, I initiated and he responded immediately...

Now, the question... why am I the initiator? He always says that he's was "going to contact me" or he was "going to ask me out" but it seems that I always beat him to the punch. Today would make it one week since we our first conversation and I'm tearing my hair out as to why he isn't more aggressive even though I'm giving him positive signals. Is he just not interested in me?

Hey Gina, I can see why you're inclined to say that but it has nothing to do with his job. When he leaves work, he doesn't bring it home with him. I know this because we were discussing my going back to school to do my doctorate and he explained that he could never go back to school because you always have homework to worry about. At least with work, when your day is done, you don't have to think about it anymore cause you leave your work behind.

*sighs* you know, we have such a good time together and this is the ONLY issue. but, really, is it worth bringing up so early??? I don't want to complicate things.
