reader, anonymous, writes (1 June 2012): Being a teenager sucks and I hate it!! I have issues with my parents all the time because I feel they clamp me in our house. I am aware of dangers and whatever but I think many parents find it difficult to let go of their kids and let us make our mistakes so we learn from them. I don't think I know everything but I know what I want to do and when someone tries to stop me from doing it I want to do it even more and do it to prove to them that they cannot control me or tell me what to do.
That's my point of view anyway :) xx

Because they are inbetween childhood and adulthood, so its a very confussing and frustrating time of there life. They are told they are old enough to do this and do that, but when they have an actual opinion most parents are quick to tell them they no nothing , or wait till you get to my age. This is an age where we as parents should enhance our childs minds and allow them to grow into mature adults, by NOT putting them down when quite often they are actually in the right, but we as adults are just too stubourn to admit it. I was the same when I was a teenager, the only difference with me is I have never forgotten what its like to be one. Most of the teenagers today have it really really hard with society, schooling,finding jobs, it was alot easier for us. They will always settle and find there way when they are ready to and pressured or ridiculed.
