Why do I have to be shallow- I want to be attracted to him!

I have been dating this guy who is very charming, caring but physically less than average. I have never considered myself to be shallow and really don't want to be. I have always taken a lot of pride in my appearance and would be considered above average so in the past I have always just by chance ended up dating very attractive men. This guy has everything I want in a man except great looks and I'm having a hard time feeling physically attracted to him. He has a couple huge moles on his chest which for some reason just gross me out and I wish it didn't because I really like him otherwise!!! What do I do?

helpjayne agony auntTake it slow and don't rush into it if you and him have a really good connection he could be the ugliest guy in the world and you'd still find him drop dead gorgeous even them huge moles will be attractive to you! Just take time out to get to know him in the meantime don't look at his chest.
