A male United States age 30-35, *obro writes:

The girl who I have been close to for a while never seems to get off my mind.

What I have come to realise is that I do love her, in a non romantic way. None the less, my feelings for her never fully go away.

We get along so so well, and it's obvious to people how close we are - to the point where people who didn't know us might think we were a couple.

Why do my feelings for her never fully go away?

And, why does part of me feel that one day we could be together?

A male reader, anonymous, writes (27 November 2008):

it sounds like you like her in a romantic way!

if you think she might like you back, then you should try and tell her how you feel. if she doesnt like you however you run the risk of making things awkward between you.

or if you are sure you don't fancy her, just enjoy having her as a close friend, don't worry that you are close its a good thing!
