 You must've been brought up to think sex is dirty, or that masterbating is "wrong". There are certain religious groups that frown on natural, normal behaviors in consenting adults. Maybe if you check out some books on the subject and see what other opinions are out there, you'll realize it's perfectly normal, then you'll be able to stop beating yourself up about it.
