Ya being nervous is normal. For me, women ive seen get nervous around me cause im tall, bigger, etc. However, what they dont know is that I get nervous too. Really all do is tell myself just to be myself and not worry and go with the flow of things and not stress about every movement or every word of a convo. Breaking the ice is huge and a good step...i always used to start out by saying somethin funny but that can easily backfire lol. If he senses ur tense, he may be tense too and vice versa. So, before the date watch somethin funny thatll keep u loose. Eat something lite so youre not starving and can focus a little bit. Also, if this guy is a gentlemen he wont kiss u on first date or attempt to do so. If he does, use your best judgment. But believe me if u like him and he likes you...that part is damn easy and things just usually click naturally. Have fun.

You probably get nervous because you don't know him, only through friends. Getting to know someone as a friend before dating makes situations a bit different. You are only afraid of the unknown. Just try to enjoy the night and not what he means to you, as it's early days.
