Wanting to have anal sex has nothing to do with being gay. Don't worry about that!
Not being a man myself, I don't have firsthand knowledge as to why they like it so much, but my understanding is that it just gives them another type of sensation to stimulate their penises and they like the feeling of it.
Anal sex will hurt you if you don't want to have it and you should NOT have it when you feel like that.
What you could do is read "The Ultimate Guide to Anal Sex for Women" by Tristan Taormino which explains all about it. Just reading the book doesn't commit you, but it will give you more information to help you find out more.
In the meantime, tell your boyfriend to stop asking - once you have said no once, he should stop harrassing you!
