Dont want to make all guys seem like douches but the main reason is the closeness. Not that I am a sex crazed lunatic or that all guys are but we need to hold you and kiss you to feel that affection.
When its long distance a guy can hear the words over the phone but not feel them on his skin. We are more physical then emotional so we need the pressence of our significant other to be there.
Plus its like genetics we get jealous when we hear you were hanging out with co workers instead of talkin with us. We dont tell you but its there, loves stupid but i love it.

(sometimes they find someone closer) But usually if the 2 people really love eachother then they wont break up..they will wait for eachother because real love conquers all. I should know i was in a LDR for 6 years, it was hard..but well worth it in the end!!!!!

Bottom line, they are too hard for guys. And men need the physicalness af a relationship alot more than women. I don't mean sex. We just need the physical contact like holding hands, sitting together and watching TV, that kind of stuff. Women like that too but not as much as men. We also know that when we see each other it's usually up to the guy to come to you. It's alot of trouble and unless we are madly in love then we probably wont do it.

its not always guys that dont like them, i know what its like infact i was with someone which was a LDR, she couldnt cope not seeing me that much so she broke-up with me. she wanted to be with someone she could see all the time and be with and so became a problem on her side. thats just 1 reason why both men and women dont like LDR's.
i'm in a LDR now with someone new and it isnt as easy to keep together and keep it goin not being able to be and see one another (on both sides). each LDR is not the same and u'll have mixed answers from people on here.
i hope this and anyone else's post helps u.
