Why did she just diss my feelings that I still love her and want her back?

A male Canada age 41-50, anonymous writes:

Me and my ex girlfriend have been broken up for about 5-6 months already. We were in a long distance relationship for that time. We had an amazing bond together best friends, lovers we just got along so perfectly. Now during this break up I have been dating and I believe so has she. I stopped contacting her. She would always text me or call me every few days to a week. She would ask me my status who I'm with and all that good stuff. A couple of weeks ago she told me she misses me and the way we were together. I never responded to that not cause I didn't want to but because I didn't want to be hurt again by her. So all I did was listen to it.

A couple of weeks later I realized this is the woman I love and the woman I want to be with so I messaged her telling her I missed her too and that I still love her and can't get her out of my mind. I'm willing to move closer to her. She told me we were special and our bond was amazing and that she was speechless not cause she didn't care but cause she did. That's it.. No answer to me telling her this.

The next day she messaged me as if nothing happened as if I didn't say any of that. Why? What do I do now. I love this women more then anything and want nothing more then to be with her marry her. I've dated many women in my time and nobody has left me with feeling. What do I do now??
