Id trust her with almost anything even if she has to ask me to talk to her if Im feeling shit [I don't normally volunteer how I feel to anyone] but she doesn't trust me. I know she's had a hell of a lot of shit in her life with family, friends and people mistreating her in general but she is such a trust worthy person for so many of us and I think she knows I care even if I don't show it very well. I understand that she has trouble trusting everyone because everyone so far has let her down but she's my bestfriend. Why doesn't she trust me like I do trust her? Reply to this Question Share |

You said it yourself already: "she's had a hell of a lot of shit in her life with family, friends and people mistreating her in general"
Not everyone is going to develop trust in the same way, or at the same speed, especially someone who has seen "a hell of a lot of shit."
Give her time. Don't pressure her, and don't expect her to act like you. Her experiences and personality are different, and to expect her to respond like you do to different situations is arrogant.
