A female United Kingdom age 30-35, anonymous writes:

hi well i have been best friends with this boy for a few years now and he asked me if he could be my boyfriend. I've said no a couple of times before then i said yes. When i said i just wanted us to be friends he said he understands.

But now that im not with him i feel that i like him and that i want us to be more than just friends but when i did go out with him i felt like i didnt like him that way and that it just wasnt working.

I'm really confused about why i feel that way and why i cant just make up my mind about it. Please can you help me?

A female reader, Dr.Ski United Kingdom +, writes (1 August 2010):

i know im only young, but ive had the same problem. But the boy i went out with, he made me feel sick in the sense that, when i ended it, hed send back an abusive text, and i would be sick in real life, and i just dont know why. But what i can tell you is, dont go ruining your friendship with him because if you go out with him and your not sure, it will start too get awkward with him... and he might even start disliking you because of your quick change of plan.. if i was you, i would just keep out of that boundary, and keep safe.. as bestfriends xx
