A male United States age , *issykrystal writes:

Well I'm a Sissy Transvestite and I've been going out in public dressed as a normal female since I was 13, I'm 50 now and I've been expressing a very deep part of my personality for the last 10 years. I love dressing up like a 4 or 5 year old little girl including wearing real baby diapers and nursery print plastic pants. My sissy dresses are just adorable and very frilly and short, and I always wear very full 80 yard petticoats ,ankle socks and mary janes. In short I dress fully as a little girl and I go out in public like this a lot. Typically I go to the local parks, thrift stores and to the Mall dressed like this. I love being seen like this and feel so good about myself also. The state I live in passed a state wide anti discrimination law for transgendered people.

OK my question is would it really bother you the public if I were to be dressed full time in Sissy Party dresses and out in public where you will see me from time to time. I'm not breaking any laws and I'm not hurting myself or anyone else. I just want to be happy and be who I want to be.

As a sissy in hiding, I don't see a problem with being yourself in public.(Even if I don't have the courage)

I think you should dress however you feel most comfortable... however, I do also have the same concern others have expressed that intolerant people might be tempted to prove a point by hurting you, so just be careful, as everyone should be. There are plenty of sick people out there, most of whom are unhappy with themselves and feel the need to take that unhappiness out on others, especially if they are different in any way.

So, just be careful and be yourself. Life is too short to spend it hiding in the shadows.

Mrs. Mom agony auntAt the mall and the park, you may be more likely to run into people who will have a negative reaction to your dress. When I go to the mall, there are usually lots of teenagers and families, and lots of people from ethnic groups where crossdressing is definitely regarded with alarm, to say the very least!

Especially at the mall, I would be very careful, because I can just imagine some young men or teens thinking they need to prove a point by hurting you. Just a few years ago, a lovely young transvestite was murdered in the San Francisco Bay Area by a teenaged boy who felt his masculinity challenged by her.

Legioness agony auntThere used to be a guy who I would occasionally see about town who'd dress like that, I thought it was pretty cool. I'm all for being open minded and being who you want to be, so go for it and love it :D but as other people have said, just be careful :)

if youv been doing it for so many years and are happy with it then why are you asking if it would bother people? surely you know by now if people where you live do or do not like it. seems a bit pointless to ponder over really.

sissykrystal agony auntWow Your all so nice and open minded and Thank You so much for your honest and candid answers. I'll add that I don't go out like this everyday ( although I wish I could ). I must live in a very redneck part of the USA, WA state which I thought was as open minded as you folks are, but to the contrary the public here has made it very clear to me in hand hand facial expressions that they want me to go away.

Much like another member of this site who is very much like me, stated that he is a very sweet and nice person. Me too and I treat people the way I want to be treated. I also don't jump into peoples faces when I'm dressed in fact I would prefer to avoid contact because of the possible redneck encounter.

Grant it I'm not 5 years old and I'm sure my being dressed as a little girl must be a bizarre site to behold, but I'm not but ugly in fact I've been told I'm very cute even at my age. I guess I just needed some public insight from all of you as to the real safety issue that I mite be over looking.

I just have to thank you all again for restoring my faith in nice people.

As others have already mentioned and as one of my brothers have said to me once, "You choose your own battles."

Personally, I have no qualms about what others do, so long as what they do, do not harm others and themselves. That "harm" would be within mutual context. To put it more clearly, I might give you a double take, but I would not have any negative issues with you.

Hi

I live in the UK..would it bother me seeing you in public dressed in your sissy party frocks.........not really! it makes a colourful change from seeing the old black suits and briefcase city dudes wearing expressionless masks striving in a grey existence. Colour the world...but in your expression remember people don't like anything shoved in their face, whatever it may be .. Just live YOUR LIFE ...wear your frocks if it makes you happy and skip your way through life but remember to laugh even when the world does not laugh with you.
