Why are her family acting like this?

Question - (2 May 2010) 1 Answers - (Newest, 2 May 2010)
A male United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I was over her house the other night to visit her brother. She and her parents were out watching her perform in a play. Her brother didn't seem like he wanted to go, but later on, I said I wouldn't mind going. When they finally got home, her mom hollered down at us to tell us they had returned. Her brother said "alright" and I said "OK". Then her mom said "OK" back, but it sounded like she was trying to imitate me. Then her mom closed the door. After that, I heard her mom mention my name and some other things that I couldn't make out, causing my crush to laugh. Then I thought I heard her dad say something about "evil". He was most likely referring to my crush in that instance.

Later on that night, her brother and I decided to head up stairs to the kitchen. Then her mom entered the room and said "huh, what?" in the same voice as earlier.

Obviously, I have no idea why did they did any of this because they are usually a kind and loving family. Also, my crush, who is very shy, gave me her normal signs of liking me such as looking at me (sometimes we held the gaze and other times she would giggle), and talking softly around me. Some other signs she gives me include: mimicking me, asking people she knows questions about me, show concern for me if she thinks I’m in trouble, her friends act differently around me, sometimes she blushes around me, etc.

It's probably that they're just having a laugh, it sounds like it... Joke back with them
