writes:Recently, we met up with members of my family from overseas. My husband refused to meet with them or talk to them, and I was so embarrassed that we left early and came home. He made no effort to take part in any of the joint activities arranged, which I had to do on my own. He has not said anything about the incident since, but obviously cannot understand why I am hurting and don't want to speak to him. How can he so hate people he doesn't even know? Is he jealous or just stupid?

Maybe he is both? Or super insecure. You need to sit down and talk this out with him. Do no accept a " I don't know" or " I didn't feel like it" excuse.
