Anyway, here's the thing, if you feel "pimp dude" is just using you for attention don't go out with him. There's a reason he's your ex and tbh who needs to go back into the past give the new guy a go, and if he does like you and you like him don't let your ex get between you.

 I think you know the answer here hun, you should go with the one you feel most comfortable with and it seems to me that you'd like to be with the other guy rather than your ex.
If your ex is a player and that's not what you want, then don't get with him again, remember, there's a reason he's your ex.
