When I watched porn I felt (among other things) like I knew what was going on and now when I do things sexually with a woman I have certain questions and I would love to go back to the good old videos and pickup some tips but I'm afraid of what might happen. If I returned to porn my intention would be using it as instructional only, but ya never know what kind of reaction I might have to seeing it again. Any advice? Thanks in advance.

The thing is, looking at porn for "tips" in how to make love to your gf won't work really. Porn is about make believe and fantasy, it doesn't help you to really love your partner.
I agree with the other aunt, books. Have you thought about the Kama Sutra. Theres hundreds of very good instructional books out there.
Looking at porn for sex advice is like looking at romance movies for relationship guidance.

Dude, just chill out. If you THINK that you need instructions all you need to do is concentrate and feel/listen to what the female body is telling you.
Women are biologically designed to convey their "message" through their face/body language/whatever. This makes it convenient for a dude to find out what ever she likes. Oh and yeah.. don't be afraid to push the limits - firmly, but gently. Results are positive and surprising.

I'm proud of you for quitting it, and I think that you should still stay away from it. However, there are certain books out there, I think, that might give you the tips without the pics. Get what I'm saying?
