Try finding the freecycle.org group in your area; there may be someone with a laptop available. But you're generally expected to offer things as well, not just ask for them. The idea is to keep things out of the landfills, so all kinds of things are posted as being available.
It's worth a try.

Talk to your school and see if they can put you in touch with anyone who can help you. There are often local organizations that provide computers for those who need them but really can't afford them.
I'm not aware of any nationwide programs that do this.
If not, you may be stuck with using the desk machines in your school's computer lab or the local library. Not a good solution, certainly, but better than nothing.

I personally cannot answer your question. But I MUST ask you one. How in the WORLD did you type that quesion if your computer broke down? That would be like saying "I drove my car with no engine." How does that work?
