Whenever I go to make love to a woman, I can't get my ex out of my head! I still love her. How do I deal with this?

A male South Africa age , anonymous writes:

Hi all. I'm having a hard time getting over my ex; we had a torrid affair for many years until she broke up with me 4 months ago. We've seen each other many times since and had sex on most occasions but I sense that the passion for her is not the same. I left my partner for her after we broke up and that has not influenced her to commit to me. We keep getting back together for dates etc. and she can be very affectionate but runs hot and cold on a weekly basis. I've gone on quite a few dates to try getting her out of my head and seen a lovely lady who is fantastic in many ways but she does not turn me on! I just can't "do it" with her even though she lies naked next to me in bed and we kiss and go through foreplay! When I try to make love to her I have my ex on my mind and I just can't. I explained to her that I'm in love with someone else and have stopped seeing her, as she wants to be more than friends and it’ not fair to her. Is it normal that I'm not attracted to other women! I've never experienced this before?

cd206 agony auntIt's not that you're not attracted to other women, it's that you weren't attracted to this particular woman, and perhaps a little that you're not yet over your ex. I'm sure you won't have this problem with your next partner.
