My periods were regular on microgynon, I was on that for 6months. Now I've stopped taking the pill and want to know when my periods are going to return back to normal, the pill leaflet doesn't say anything about it. If anyone has been on microgynon then could you tell me of your experiences? Thanks. X

Thanks for your help! X

Hi,I was on microgynon for a year or so and then came off it and it took a month or two for my periods to return to normal. You have a relief bleed after taking your pill (after your week break) And then it takes 4-8 weeks usually for you to get your first proper period. (This was my experience)As far as them returning to some normal kind of cycle Im not sure as i got pregnant straight after my first real period! Its different with different women though and some people dont even get a proper period for months and months. As you've only been on it for 6 months though i expect they should return alot quicker than this.HTH
