writes:wondering if someone can help tell me when i am due on my period and how long my cycle is. also, what a cycle is, is it the day you come on your period to the next time you come on?right so, i came on on september 13th and came off on the 18th sept. i worked it out that i am due to have my next period on the 19th october or sometime that week, but my friend worked it out as the 16th or 17th of october.i am so confused, usually i dont bother working my dates out but now i am in a relationship, i have been trying my best to keep on eye on things. please help :o)

The average cycle is 28-31 days, although everyone varies. Day 1 of your cycle is the first day of your period, and normally around day 14 (again this can vary) is when you would ovulate and be able to get pregnant. It does not sound like you are using any contraception, maybe you should consider it? Let me know if I can help in any way

28 days on from the 13th of September is today!
So you should be due on in the next few days if you are normally regular.
If you haven't come on by next weekend then buy a pregnancy test.

Go from the first day you came on, count forward 4 weeks and that is when you are next due.
The AVERAGE cycle for a woman is 28 days but every one is different so you could be longer or shorter than that. It can also be a little different every month.
The best thing is to put a little red dot in your diary when you first start your period and then monitor it over a few months till you see a pattern. Then in the few days before you THINK you are due on, you can start carrying a little emergency tampon in your purse in case of emergency.
