Question - (10 March 2008) 1 Answers - (Newest, 10 March 2008)
A male United States age 36-40, anonymous writes:

Me and my new girlfriend have liked each other a lot for the past 4 years but because of certain issues, which led to dating other people we never dated until now.

I know this is a new relationship but I feel like we've been kinda dating for years! And now that we are together I really feel that I love her. My question is when is it alright to first say "I love you".

It's not like we just met each other, we've liked each other for a long time! So I don't know what to do, but I would like to say it to her.

Thank you

When you're sure that you love them, and its not just some passing feeling, then its the time to tell them you love them. Nobody should dictate when you should say something so meaningful and personal to another person. It's your own choice, if you feel it, say it :]
