ive liked this guy for a while now (about 10 months) and he claims he liked me the same amount of time but when ever one was singel the other was taken and finally after 10 months we both single. we have flirted loads and had a few kisses. last night when we was walking to get some food he held me close to him as we walked and i turn to him and asked him out he said maybe and i asked for him to explain it he said i want to know u better first is this just a nicer way of saying no. it really confusing me though as he tells me he likes me then when i ask him out he says no :(

willywombat agony auntI think then he just wants to 'get to know you better' before choosing to make any sort of commitment to you which would involve being exclusive to each other. Go out on a few dates and see if you enjoy your time together.

Good luck.

cd206 agony auntUnfortunately the only way to know is by asking him. Maybe this is embarassing but you sometimes have to take risks to be happy.

AngelofLove agony auntYou need to have a proper conversation with the guy and asked to clarify.

It is very easy to jump to conclusions but in the middle of the street perhaps he did not feel very comfortable to talk about it.

Good luck x

willywombat agony auntCan I ask how old you are? Plus, can I ask what you meant when you said you 'asked him out'? Only, I am unsure if you meant you wanted to go out with him on a date or as BF and GF?

Cheers.
