A female United States age 30-35, anonymous writes:

I just started taking birth control pills today(Wednesday) and I'm going to be at my boyfriends house on Saturday. My Question(s) are:

-Will the birth control pills start actually..working by then?

-If I'm on Birth Control and he still DOES Use a condom, is it more safe than just birth control?

-What would happen if I'm on Birth control but he still DOESN'T use a condom? What would that do?

Any advice is helpful. :)

Always use at least two forms of protection otherwise there is still a chance of pregnancy!

Landie agony auntBirth control usually only becomes active between 2 weeks to a month after you start using it. I went to the clinic to get mine and they said 2 weeks but I've also read it takes a month so be careful

Birth contol also is 92% effective. So you can use it with out the condom but now a days its safer to use both

You're supposed to wait one month after starting them. They become "active" once you go on your last week of the month, or when you're supposed to get your period.

Have fun, and be sure to use a condom. It does make it safer, and it protects you from STDs.
