When can I take the pregnancy test if I don't have periods?

How do I take a pregnancy test if I am on the pill skipping my period? I had unprotected sex (ie not with a condom) a week ago, and am feeling really sick (headaches, sore joints, fatigue etc) and a little paranoid. I bought myself a home pregnancy test today, and read the instructions - but it says you have to wait until about 1-4 days before your period. I'm on the pill Diane 35 ED, and am skipping my period because they are too painful and restrict me. So when can I take the pregnancy test?? Can I take it now, or will the results be unreliable?

Hi, thanks for the answers, - I have been skipping the pill on suggestion by my doctor - and he has told me that its completely safe on the pill I am taking. I am scared about going off them to take this test, because I am also taking them for other health reasons.

I'm a little scared about going to my doctor about it - because I dont want my parents to find out (I'm 18 - but they still think I am so innocent..) and I am also not sure I can get an appointment if I do - I am going away for a month very very soon.

I am 2 weeks away from when I should get my period on the pill packet - if I do do it, should I do the pregnancy test the day before, like you would normally according to the test? - because then it wouldnt matter if I skipped my period or not (provided that I have one)

xxkissssxx agony auntfirstly Skiping your period can do damage to you for one is clears you out , i suggest you stop the pill then you should come on about a week after at the latsest (if you nor pregnant) so stop the pill and a few days after take the test i think thats the best idea becouse if you are pregnant taking the pill can harm the baby and you need to menstrate. good luck keep me updated :)
