your right, if he didnt care he wouldn't bring it up. im thinking that he still cares, he's just saying that stuff, cause you were the one who dumped him, and hes trying to keep his pride. maybe he still wants to keep contact as friends, or maybe he still likes you and is trying to wiggle back into your life. if you feel like you want to be friends with him, then maybe start talking to him online a bit, and maybe he'll eventually reveal whats really up. sorry i wasnt much help, but good luck :)
