Question - (24 April 2009) 3 Answers - (Newest, 25 April 2009)
A female United Kingdom age 30-35, *oral. writes:

I have been getting to know this guy for a month or so now, I really like him, and I know he likes me back. But last night my best friend told me how one of friends (who we have hung out with recently) fancies me. I don't like him, only as a friend, but heres the problem. No other girl will give him a chance because of how he looks. I don't fancy him because I already like this other guy, but how would I 'turn him down' so to speak, wiothout it looking like just another one of those girls?

A female reader, anonymous, writes (24 April 2009):

It's nice to hear you are concerned for his feelings as a lot of people just wouldn't care. It says a lot of good things about you.

Just tell him you like him as a friend and tell him some of his good points, but be honest that you are interested in someone else. Probably best not to tell him who.

Love4Life agony auntI agree with satin. Just be blunt in a nice gentle way. Like Satin phrased it. It sounds a little hard to be truthful but if you lie or putt it off you will hurt their feelings more. Just remember don't make up a lie cause it seems easier but will always come back to bite. Hope this was helpful...
