writes: Hi,Just looking for help because I'm really confused now. My last normal period was 6th-10th September and they are regular so I was expecting to come on again around the 8th of this month. I waiting until I was a week late and took a pregnancy test and it was negative and still no period. Then I was two weeks late and I took another test and it was negative again and still no period. I went to see a doctor and they took a urine sample and told me to phone for my results Tuesday just gone (24th) and to go back if I hadn't started by what would have been yesterday. That result was also negative. So because I started what I think was my period on Tuesday I cancelled the oppointment. But I'm not sure if it was a real period. It was really light. Like how it looks when you've almost finished a period and I was only on for two days. I thought that being two weeks late it would be really heavy. I told my mum and she thinks it might be 'spotting' and thinks I should take another test.I'm not too sure though because to be honest, I had my hopes up a little when I was two weeks late. And now I'm not sure if I should take another test or just see if I get a period next month or what.Does anyone know what it might be and if it was spotting, was it too early to tell if I was pregnant or not before? Thanks x x

my periods vary to light and heavy and being late its when i get stressed or emotional its just the hormones in the body.
this could be the same for you if you have been upset or angry about anything recently.

Periods can stop if you arent eating enough or getting enough nutrition, if you have an eating disorder or exercise too often that also may be causing it. Take some iron supplements and maybe a multi vitamin and go back to the doctor and get a vaginal exam. I know this is odd but sometimes women leave tampons in without knowing and they lodge far up in there....that may be blocking it and its important you check that out right away as well.

My periods are always the same and are generaly short. I hope that this helps you, it doesn't always come on a sceduale and it might not mean anything. Just the human body. A drastic change in eating and exersize could have something to do with it. Good luck.
