We were working together for 2 months and did not speak the whole time until his final week, and that was because I contacted first. Basicaly his friend said he liked me and i thought he was cute so i emailed him saying "i hear ur leavin" etc and so it began... went out for lunch and he mailed saying he was sad we only just got talkin..and that he was shy etc.. then he asked to me to come to his leaving drinks...i went...he ignores me....and got v wasted....i left a bit upset and didnt say bye..so me being me i couldn't leave it like that and i ended up texting him....he said he would def like to meet up again and that he only acted that way because his freind said he liked me....he went away for few days but when he got back he only sent a few texts as if he's not bothered anymore.. im confused...should i just leave it?

reader, anonymous, writes (14 September 2006): Hi, A guy at work acts like he likes me. his body language when he sits near me is usually a full on crotch display or he sits quite close to me when he is able.
He asks me questions about myself and does the whole looking into my eyes thing but at other times he acts like I'm not there. Help!!! what is going on?

It does sounds like he kinda likes you - but is *very* shy.
Could also be he's not texted cos he's not got much credit on his phone???? Could you talk on MSN or email instead?
Maybe suggest another meeting up and then you can hang out and see how it goes - if he's not interested he'll not reply to your text to meet up - and then you'll know for sure....
