This is trouble. I'd be EXTREMELY worried about this and to be honest would run a mile!

If the robbing car radios isn't bad enough he has violent tendancies too. I say get out of this as soon as you can.

In a word YES! He may not have hit you YET. Don't get me wrong - he might NEVER hit you but do you really want to put yourself at risk with some thieving, violent, abusive person?
RUN FOR THE HILLS I say but then like anything it's your choice. I think you're putting a lot more at risk than just your feelings here.
