I had a GF who always wanted backrubs and massages. Because it's a hobby of mine, I'd gladly oblige. One day, I had a really bad neck ache, the kind that burns like crazy when you even turn your head. I asked if she could give me a little neck rub and the answer I got was "nope." Just like that. "Lets go to dinner" was the next line out of her mouth. I think it was at that point I realized just how selfish she was. I started making note of all the selfish things she did. Guess what, we're not together anymore.
Relationships can't be one sided. He may have been having a bad day, and it could be innocent. It may be an indicator of a bigger problem. You need to ask yourself if this is a trend, or was it just a rare occurance.

That is just unloving and uncaring. You will have the chance to pay him back.

I'd get an electric heating pad if I were you, they work great on pinched nerves.
