A female Canada age , anonymous writes:

I have had a married lover for over 25years, when I met him he was not married, anyway I have 1 son with him and he has 3 sons with his wife, he paid child support for the child for 19 years, But he (my son) caught us talking dirty on the internet and let his father have it. So now his father days he does not care about him. All through the years he would only be a part of our lives if I would have sex with him, so periodically I was able to say no and he abandonded us. I am not sure what to make of him can you tell me what kind of a person does this to a child?

"What sort of man would do this to his child?" The sort who while married has a mistress and a child while his wife has 3 of his own totally unaware that her husband has been getting it on with another woman for over 25 years. why are you baffled about your lovers character?

A female reader, Angzw Zimbabwe +, writes (30 January 2010):

Its nothing unusual that many men only bond with the children of the woman they love. I even know men who have abandoned their own children and are with new women and they look after their step children (new woman's own kids) better than their own. Be thankful that your son is 19 and should therefore be largely independent. But its sad though that he hasn't learnt much about morals from you or his father. I hope he doesn't treat his future women the way you have shown him women should be treated, as second best.
