reader, anonymous, writes (29 July 2006): Ask him on a date, you know, one which results in a situation of closeness - cinema or dancing? If he likes you, potentially he'll make a move. Or if you feel you can deal with it, ask him about who he's interested in dating at the moment. He might be vague - you know, 'oh I like someone but I've not been able to tell them', then you could say, 'I know what you mean' and see how things go from there. Of course, he might confess he's interested in someone else, so that could be a hard time for you if you might feel jealous- but then you'd know and you might be able to just be friends?Good luck!
