What should I do with this ex who said we can't be friends? He keeps looking at me.

A female United Kingdom age 36-40, anonymous writes:

I had a great relationship with a guy i met through friends. He dumped me after 9 months due to our 'differences' although he still loved me and meant all the nice things he had said. I handled the break up quite well and despite feeling sad at the loss have been generally happy.

I'm not sure what I should do about him though, I still see him regularly and have been told that he looks at me a lot. I do miss him and wish i was at least friends, but the confusing guy he is, he said we cant. i respect his opinions but what should i do with him? he told me to leave him alone but its annoying catching his eye every now and again and when he talks to me very occasionally its like old times again.

aunt honesty agony auntIt is very hard for ex's to be friends so i guess i see this guys point of view, it sounds like he doesnt want to be friends in case all of those feelings come back to hurt him again, obiously he feels that even though he loves you that you just both arent compatiable with each other. Try and avoid him, he will come to you if things change in his mind good luck
