writes: I went to a job interview on wednesday afternoon. the manager basically told me what the job involves and what I would be doing at the shop. he said he called me for an interview cos I have experience in retail.(C.V)he also said he's interviewing 10 people and would let me know on Thursday after 12 cos the last persons interview was at 12noon.is now friday afternoon and hes not called or emailed me:(he gave me his card to call him if i wanted to ask him anything.I really wanna work there..i love the environment and ive got experience in that area.should I ring him?? what should I say??thnx...xx Reply to this Question Share |

Wait till Monday, that gives him the weekend to consider.
Some bosses forget how nerve wracking it can be if they don't call while others simply prefer not to call if they are not going to hire you.
Don't get your hopes up to high and remember that if the job does go through, you are working for a boss who has problems remembering promises.

Try to call/email and follow up the manager and ask if they have come up for finalization results. Perhaps there are ongoing interviews for shortlistings as you were telling there were 10 who were interviewed last wednesday. Call/email the manager and politely ask if they have the results from the interview and if you are included in the shortlist.
