Well is there any chance you could bump into him, when he is alone?...When you see him leave his desk or when he is about to go home?...There is ways round it if you plan this carefully. When you get the chance just chat to him and drop subtle hint about meeting up later for a drink etc.If you cant do that then it will have to be down to him to do something and if he is really keen then he will.

Ms_G is verified as being by the original poster of the questionThe thing is I'm too shy to do so + it's hard for me to ask him to go out cos we are never alone at work...our break time is spent surrounded with bunch of people and there's not much room, and I don't have his phone number, otherwise I will txt him

I wouldn't worry too much about the 10 year age gap...its not that wide,if you like him and he seems to like you then why dont you just ask him out for lunch,or go for a coffee as work friends? If he says no then its obvious he isn't interested,it could be because he has a partner already but you wont know unless you ask.Good luck.
