We were just acquaintances and I would see her every week or so for around eight months, at the club. She then broke up with my boss that was abusing her. As soon as she mentioned something to me, I talked her into breaking up with him. He banned her from the club and I didn't see her until two weeks ago, when I was working security at a strip club. She was a dancer at a different one back when she was frequenting the nightclub i applied to. Now, she is a dancer at mine, part time. I recently asked her if she wanted to get together and she told me that she had just broken up with her fiance about a week ago and that she was not able to do anything but the friends thing. I have two questions. 1. What should I do? Be a friend but stay out of the friend zone? 2. Assuming we are working together on Valentine's day, and she is more or less upset about not having a valentine, might a small, simple, and sweet gesture of some kind be okay?Example: She likes this grilled cheese and tomato sandwich that I made for myself one day. Would something like making it for her but in the shape of a heart and winking as I give it to her be cool?
